Living on Tulsa Time is something so sweet. A few years ago the City of Tulsa created 918 Day. The mayor launched 918 Day to bring the community together, part of the Resilient Tulsa Strategy.
2020 is a year where there is nothing normal about it. Yet we want to keep our tradition of donating $918 to a local charity.
Last year we were overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the organizations that we discovered thanks to everyone who nominated their favorite non-profit. How the contest works is from now until midnight on September 18, also known as 918 Day, you can nominate your favorite non-profit. The non-profit with the most votes wins. You can enter by submitting a form here, commenting on our Facebook page or Instagram page.

The 2019 winning organization was, The Little Light House won $918. The owner of HCS, Jeff Deao, and his wife Alisha Deao had the opportunity to take a tour of the world-renowned Little Light House facility. Everything done at The Little Light House is designed to help children and families overcome limitations and grow in confidence. Since 1972, they have helped thousands of kids improve their speech, physical, perceptual, and sensory integration skills while providing education and support to the parents.
Good luck to all of the deserving nonprofits in Tulsa. HCS is excited to see who wins the $918 in 2020. A winner will be announced on Sunday, September 20.
